Isabella is 13 1/2 months and she's running now (well, it seems like she's moving pretty fast!) She started climbing last week. We have an ottoman that we used to block the pathway to the kitchen. It might as well not be there anymore, because she climbs right over it.
Isabella loves playing in Rocky's food and water bowls. She tries to get as many pieces of dog food in her mouth as possible before we catch her, and she cries when we dig it all out of her mouth. I feel sure that she'll thank me one of these days. The water bowl must be like a mini bath tub to her. She loves to splash her hands in the water, and if she has a doll she'll give her a bath as well. I don't have any pictures of this because I'm usually running to save the newly cleaned doll.
She's been interesting to be around the last 2 weeks. She moved to a new room in daycare and is now sitting at the table (in a chair) and eating with a spoon off of a plate; that is, until she throws the spoon on the floor for preference of her fingers. Prior to being in her new room, all plates immediately made their way to the floor, but since all the other kids have plates on the table she's decided hers can stay as well. She sleeps on a cot and takes one nap a day instead of two. The one nap a day hasn't gone over well with her; she's very tired and cranky by the time she gets home. It doesn't help that she's cutting her one-year molars, either. I'm hoping we're through the worst now.
We went to visit Mimi and play outside a little this afternoon and here are some cute pictures of Isabella playing.
Isabella loves Sampson, my uncle's dog. We've been working on teaching her to be sweet and pat the dogs, instead of grabbing their ears or pulling fur out. She's doing really well here. Thankfully, Sampson's a little more patient than Rocky.
Isabella loves playing with remote controls, but especially phones. The buttons make lots of noise. She's already mastered multi-tasking.
As you can see, all this talking on the phone makes her really thirsty. Even though she's been drinking out of my water bottle for months, it always makes me laugh because it's so big compared to her!
Maybe the phone would like a drink too!
Daddy's chasing Isabella...

And he caught her!
She's blowing you kisses!

I've left my 20's behind forever now. I'm 30 today! I thought it'd be harder to change decades, but it doesn't matter much to me. I think it's because I love my life and where I am in life. I enjoyed most every stage, except maybe being 12 and 13, and I can't imagine wanting to relive any of it. I have the best husband and a beautiful little girl. With the exception of few special people, there's nothing I want to go back for. So, I'm happily turning 30 today. John made a wonderful dinner and got my favorite cake. We celebrated with family. The 30's seem to be starting off well...
